PHT 270 gives hands on application in digital photography using Adobe Photoshop and related software. PC EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. NO DIGITAL CAMERA IS REQUIRED. PHT 298 SEMINAR AND PROJECT 3cr DIGITAL COLOR PHT 2688 01W M 1900-2150 WC 0406 Rebhan, G + 1 HOUR TBA. Prequisites: PHT 101 and PHT 270 or permission of instructor. An advanced course examining contemporary uses of color photography. Ink jet printers will be used for printing. Technical areas covered include exposure for color materials, use of film and digital cameras, filters, and color temperature. Aesthetic areas include color relationships, the effect of color on compositions, and the emotional impact of color. Digital and/or conventional film may be used. Students pay a supplies fee of approximately $20 to the college bookstore. Students must show proof of payment by 1/24/02. Students work independently on a photography project of their choice. A written proposal describing the process, desired final outcome and deadlines must be submitted by second week of class.
