          college success through study skills,
          test taking strategies, time manage-
          ment, career and academic planning.
          Topics include money management,
          gambling on campus, celebration of
          diversity and others.

          Section 40N will focus on retention
          strategies and additional skills in
          areas of time management, conflict
          resolution, and improving study
          skills.  A signature from a
          counselor is needed to enroll;
          registration must be done in-person.

          Section 42N will meet ONE DAY
          ONLY, May 23, 2001, 1:00-3:15 pm.
          This is an independent study course
          which will focus on student success,
          study skills, and NVCC resources.

          Students attend two mandatory
          classes on Thursday, May 17 and
          June 21, 2001, 2:00-4:15 and
          complete additional assignments for
          course credit.  Topics include
          campus resources and college success
          skills.  Bring a calendar/organizer
          to both sessions.

          June 5, 7, 12.
