          The purpose of this course is to
          discuss important concepts, issues,
          and concerns in network security;
          examine methods and technologies for
          securing computer/communication
          networks systems; and review network
          standard activities.  Topics include
          OSI Reference Model and network
          security architectural, cryptography,
          public and secret key, management
          activities; authentication using
          reusable and one-time passwords,
          secret key and public key
          crytographic methods; technology
          issues; open system security secure
          messaging standards; network security
          with Unix; and Internet/Intranet
          firewall security issues.
          An introduction to selected network
          security technologies is presented
          that includes DCE security,
          CORBA, and Microsoft Windows
          NT.
