OPHTHALMIC MEDICAL PERSONNEL
OMP 105 (3 CR.)
ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY, AND PATHOLOGY OF THE EYE
Considers the fundamentals of various body systems
and principles of human physiology, methods of drug delivery, including
the advantages and disadvantages of drops. Lecture 3 hours per week.
OMP 115 (4 CR.)
OPHTHALMIC OPTICS AND ETHICS
Covers fundamentals of ophthalmic optics, which
includes basic lensometry, ophthalmic lens design and materials,
ophthalmic frame materials, and basic ophthalmic dispensing techniques.
Also covers the physician and patient relationship, professional
liability, and current government regulations. Lecture 3 hours.
Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week.
