Title IX Statement
(On Sexual Discrimination, Sexual Violence, Domestic Violence, Dating Violence and Stalking)
As a recipient of federal funds, Northern Virginia Community College (the College or NOVA), is required to comply with Title IX of the Higher Education Amendments of 1972, 20 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. (“Title IX”), which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in educational programs or activities, admission and employment. The Student Grievance Process may be used to address student complaints of unlawful discrimination on the basis of sex. Allegations of sexual harassment or sexual assault are covered by the Sexual Misconduct Policy and procedures.
