1,000,000 Miles of Safe Driving

 
The College Warehousing and Distribution Services was created on December 1, 1987, by merging the Annandale Campus mailroom and the College Administration Brault Building mailroom with the Central Warehouse Operation. On that day the two full service mailrooms were closed and physically moved into the warehouse building 

Since that day through June 30, 1999, the combined operation has operated college vehicles over 1,187,000 miles, without a chargeable or preventable accident. This reflects on the professionalism of the employees and their Safety Attitude. Dr. Belle S. Wheelan, President of the College, recognized this achievement in a special ceremony on August 2, 1999 by presenting certificates, safe driving pins and patches to:

Certificates of Appreciation were given to Mark Grigg, Mechanic Supervisor, for keeping the vehicles in a high state of repair and to Roger Tancreti, Safety Officer, for overseeing the safety program.
