The Office of Institutional Research is pleased to present the ninth edition of the Northern Virginia Community College Fact Book. This edition of the Fact Book is designed to serve as a reliable and readily available source of information about the College. As in the past, all the information from the previous editions is updated following a similar format in order to allow users to make valid comparisons based on longitudinal data. In addition, some changes and additions have been made to the current edition based on input received from users. Some of the additions made to the Fact Book include student average age, program placement by campus, TDD numbers for each campus , the college's home page address, and some formatting changes. The suggested changes that we were unable to accommodate this year will be incorporated into next year's edition. Previous versions of the Fact Book and other OIR publications are now available on our home page. We invite you to visit the home page @ http://www.nvcc.edu/oir.
Data and information were provided by the Budget Office, Computing and Information Systems, Office of Facilities Planning and Support Services, Media Processing, and Student Benefits and Support Services. The cover was designed by the Office of Public Information and Publications (Graphics). We thank the above mentioned units of the college for their continued cooperation and assistance.
The Northern Virginia Community College Fact Book is a product of the team efforts of all OIR staff members. A special recognition goes to Virginia Martin who coordinated the material for this report and used her editing and manuscript formatting skills to produce the current version of the Fact Book.
