Semi-finalists and finalists for NOVA Idol and High School NOVA Idol must be prepared for honest and professional evaluative comments. Emotional reactions are inappropriate at this level of competition. If you cannot handle stress such as pointers about your weaknesses, the NOVA Idol Executive Committee urges you to reconsider your participation in the contest.
NOVA Idol Winners:

First, second, and third place winners will be asked to perform at NOVA and other public events for one year after winning the contest.
Wild Card Selections
During November 2012, the Executive Committee will review recordings from the auditions for NOVA Idol and High School NOVA Idol. They will review top individual scores from campus judges and may contact contestants who scored very high, but did not make the list of semi-finalists. Ten of the college contestants may be chosen as wild card choices, thus possibly totaling 50 semi-finalists (40 from the first audition and 10 wild card choices.) Three high school contestants will be chosen as wild card choices, thus totaling 13 semi-finalists (10 from the first audition and three wild card choices). After Wild Card selections, all semi-finalists will be notified and their names posted on the website.
