Change Your Password
- Go to http://www.nvcc.edu. Click the NOVAConnect button.
- Click the Log into NOVAConnect button on the NOVAConnect site for Faculty and Staff..

Log into NOVAConnect by clicking my NOVA on the NOVA homepage. Click VCCS89:Student Information System.
- Enter your Username and Current Password. Your username is not your EMPLID. If you do not know your Username, then click the Look Up Your Username link.
- Click the Log In button.
- Click Change My Password.
- Enter your Current Password.
- Enter your New Password. Your new password must have at least seven characters but not more than ten.Your password must contain a combination of:
- At least one UPPERCASE letter
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one number (0-9)
- Retype Your New Password.
- Enter or select a security question. You must provide a security question with an answer that only you will know. This question will be used if you need to reset your password in the future. You may either type your own security question into the box on the left, or, alternatively, click on one of the questions listed on the right. If you click on one of the questions provided in the list, the question will be entered into the security question box for you.

- Enter the answer to the security question.
* Pay attention to how you spell the answer, including capitalization, because if you ever have to use the security question to retrieve your password, you will have to type in the answer in exactly the same way that you enter it on this page. - Click Next.
Reset a Forgotten Password
- Go to http://www.nvcc.edu. Click the NOVAConnect button.
- Click the Log into NOVAConnect button on the NOVAConnect site for Faculty and Staff..

- Click the Reset Your Password link.
- Enter your First Name, Last Name, Birthday and Social Security Number.
NOTE: If you do not have a social security number,
call the IT Help Desk at 703-426-4141. - Click Search.
- Answer the security question.
- Enter a new password. Your new password must have at least seven characters but not more than ten.Your password must contain a combination of:
- At least one UPPERCASE letter
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one number (0-9)
