1. Log into NOVAConnect by clicking my NOVA on the NOVA homepage
2. Click VCCS89:Student Information System.
3. Click Self Service.
4. Click Faculty Center.
5. Click the Advisees tab at the top of the window.
   
6. Your advisees will be displayed in a list on the next page. To view more detailed information on a particular advisee, click the drop-down menu on the right side of the advisee's row and choose the information you would like to see.
   

Drop-In Advisees

1. Log into NOVAConnect by clicking my NOVA on the NOVA homepage
2. Click VCCS89:Student Information System.
3. Click Self Service.
4. Click Faculty Center.
5. Click the Advisees tab at the top of the window.
6. Click the New Drop-In Advisees button at the bottom of the window.
7. Click the Search button at the bottom left of the window.
   
8. Enter the student's emplid, last name and/or first name into the search boxes. Be sure to change "begins with" to "=" by clicking on the drop down arrow.
9. Click Lookup.
   
10. A list of the students who meet your search criteria will appear in the next page. Click the emplid of the correct student to return to the advisee page.
11. Once you have returned to the advisee page, click the Student Details drop-down menu to choose the type of information you would like to view. For example, you can choose to view a students grades, degree progress report, contact information or class schedule.
    
    

You may widen or narrow your search by choosing different search criteria from the drop-down menus. For example, if you would like to find all the students that are NOT named Smith, you could search using the "not=".
