Most IEP teachers have master’s degrees in TESOL, linguistics or a related field. Other teachers have advanced degrees and extensive teaching experience. Along with their diverse teaching experiences within the U.S. and abroad, they have extensive backgrounds in teaching American Culture and in instructional technology. In addition to teaching, many instructors help with other aspects of program development such as testing, creating materials and participating in extracurricular activities for students. Our teachers actively participate in professional development in order to stay informed of current research and teaching practices. They contribute to the profession by presenting at conferences, editing textbooks, publishing materials and mentoring graduate students.
