The Medical Education Campus (MEC) of Northern Virginia Community College will host the sixth annual Walk-4-Life Community Health Fair on Saturday, April 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The family-friendly event will include free activities such as face painting, games, food and live music for all to enjoy.
Vision and health screenings for blood sugar, along with free confidential HIV and hepatitis C testing, will be offered throughout the event by MEC students and healthcare professionals on-site. Service tables from campus and local community health organizations will also be provided. All proceeds from the Walk portion of the event will go toward supporting the American Cancer Society. The event is sponsored by NOVA-MEC Office of Student Life and student clubs. Food will be available for sale by various organizations.
