In an effort to reach and welcome adult learners in the City of Alexandria and surrounding communities, Northern Virginia Community College’s Alexandria Campus will host a Summer 2017 New Student Orientation for Adult Learners 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 18 in the Bisdorf Building, Room 158.
Adult learners are credit students who are first-time college students over the age of 25, transferring into NOVA from another college or university or returning to college-level studies after a leave of absence. During orientation, students will receive information on academic planning – including career and transfer information – an overview of campus resources and information on student success.
The Summer 2017 New Student Orientation for Adult Learners was organized by the Alexandria Campus Student Services Department as part of the campus and college GPS initiatives to provide opportunities, information and resources for the Alexandria Campus’ adult learners population and to encourage student success at NOVA.
