NOVA-Woodbridge to host Serbian Ambassador to the United States, April 23

The Woodbridge Campus of Northern Virginia Community College will host H.E. Mr. Djerdj Matkovic, Serbian Ambassador to the United States. Matokovic will present “Introducing Serbia” on Thursday, April 23, at 11 a.m., at the Woodbridge Campus’ Lakeside Theatre, 15200 Neabsco Mills Road, Woodbridge, Va.

Matkovic took office as Ambassador on Feb. 21, 2015. Previously he served as special advisor to Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic. He plans to focus on economic cooperation and presenting Serbia as “neutral and transparent,” he recently said to InNews, a Serbian news network.

This event is part of Multicultural Week at NOVA.
