NOVA-Manassas adds classes at Innovation Park

Dozens of spring classes have been added at NOVA’s Innovation Park location to help students bundle several classes on one or two days a week to complete courses efficiently.

NOVA announces commitment to expand college access at White House event

Today, Northern Virginia Community College’s Manassas Campus Provost, Dr. Roger Ramsammy, will join President Obama, the First Lady and Vice President Biden, along with hundreds of college presidents and other higher education leaders, to announce new actions to help more students prepare for and graduate from college.

Plan for spring with NOVA Next Door and Sunrise College

During the spring semester that begins Jan. 12, the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College is offering two options to make getting a college education easier: NOVA Next Door and Sunrise College.

NOVA launches STEM initiative to meet demand for skilled workers

According to “Recovery: Job Growth and Education Requirements Through 2020” from the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce, the number of jobs in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) will increase by 32 percent in Virginia by 2020. More than 90 percent of those jobs will require postsecondary education.

Movies at NOVA-Manassas

The Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College will present a series of movies on Thursday evenings at 8 p.m. in Colgan Theater.

Inspirational talk about overcoming adversity

Frederick Downs, Jr., a Vietnam veteran, book author and retired national director of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Service, will give a lecture about his experiences in Vietnam.

Spend a night listening to frighteningly good music at the 2014 “Spooktacular Sounds in the Haunted Hall: A Halloween Concert” at the Alexandria Campus of Northern Virginia Community College. Attendees are encouraged to come in costume.
