Free micro-chipping for dogs available
Pet owners can get their dogs bathed and vaccinated for rabies at the Loudoun Campus of Northern Virginia Community College. Students from the Veterinary Technology Club will wash small, medium and large dogs for $15, $20 and $25, respectively.
Rabies vaccinations will cost $15. Dog owners must bring a prior vaccination certificate to obtain a three-year vaccine; otherwise a one-year vaccine will be given. Pets and human treats will be available for sale.
Checks and cash will be accepted. Proceeds from the event benefit the Veterinary Technology Club.
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 26. The Loudoun County Animal Shelter will provide (from 10 a.m. to noon only) free micro-chipping and on-site rabies licenses.
