The Northern Virginia Community College Board will hold a meeting on Monday, Jan. 27 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Room 121 at the Fairfax Administrative Center. The Fairfax Administrative Center is located at 3922 Pender Drive in Fairfax, Va.
The board meeting will begin with special recognition of recent NOVA faculty award recipients: Laura Franklin, Reva Savkar and Amy Harris. Franklin for the 2013 Association of Community College Trustees Southern Region Faculty Member Award for Teaching Excellence, Savkar for the 2013 Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence, and Harris for the 2014 Governor’s Award for Science Innovation.
Agenda items will include reports on the status of budget and facility projects, as well as the review and approval of recommendations for the Advisory Committee. There will also be a president’s report on enrollment trends and a special report on the parking task force.
Two committees will meet before the full board meeting. The Budget Committee will meet at 3 p.m. in Room 138 and Community Engagement will meet at 3:30 p.m. in Room 150.
