Students are encouraged to enroll early for Northern Virginia Community College’s fall 2014 semester due to a new policy adopted to improve student success. Starting with the fall 2014 semester, all students must register no later than the day before a session begins.
The 16-week semester and first eight-week session start Aug. 20, which makes Aug. 19 the last day to register for those sessions. Another eight-week session starts Oct. 15, with registration closing Oct. 14.
Students may secure classes early in the registration period and not pay tuition until July 28. Starting July 28, tuition is due by 5 p.m. on the next business day after registering.
Open registration starts May 6 at www.nvcc.edu. In-person service is available during normal business hours at NOVA campuses in Alexandria, Annandale, Loudoun, Manassas, Springfield and Woodbridge.
Online courses start on various dates throughout the year. Nearly 40 degrees and certificates can be completed entirely online.
