If you are seeking a rewarding teaching position close to home, mark your calendar for the upcoming Adjunct Recruitment Fair to learn how you can become a part-time instructor at the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College.
The fair will be held on Saturday, June 1 from 10 a.m. to noon and repeated on Tuesday, June 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. During those times, faculty and staff will be available to provide information about teaching opportunities at the Manassas Campus.
Part-time instructors are needed in most disciplines but especially in automotive, diesel, welding, biology, English and math.
Applicants should bring unofficial transcripts, resume, cover letter and government-issued identification.
Candidates who want to teach transfer courses must hold a master’s degree that includes 18 graduate hours in the relevant discipline. To teach career and technical courses such as automotive and welding, other qualifications may suffice.
