NOVA hosts open house for military community
Northern Virginia Community College will host two open houses for active duty military personnel and their families. Prospective students can learn how they can earn an associate degree in business administration or information technology in 18 months.
The associate degrees can be completed through a combination of online courses through NOVA's Extended Learning Institute (ELI), or face-to-face with course offerings on-site at Quantico Marine Base and Ft. Belvoir Army Post.
The academic programs are part of the Servicemembers Opportunity College (SOC) program agreement. The agreement increases the transferability of coursework and reduces the need to repeat prerequisites and course requirements - making it easier for students to transfer to a four-year institution.
