The Virginia GIS K-12 Consortium is offering an introductory GIS workshop to teachers and educators on how to use ESRI's ArcGIS software and how to integrate it into a variety of classrooms and curricula.
Wednesday, Aug. 14, and Thursday, Aug. 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Northern Virginia Community College, 1831 Wiehle Ave., Reston, Va. 20190. Classes will be held in Room 313.
These workshops are supported by the K-12 Consortium, managed by James Madison University, and are free to all participants. Lunch will be provided on both days. Space is limited.
