The Annandale Campus of Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) will offer a new Fridays-only Degree Program for students who are seeking a flexible and convenient option toward achieving an associate degree. The new program will meet all of the graduation requirements for the associate of science degree in general studies.
“NOVA continues to look for innovative ways to ensure that all of our students are able to achieve their academic goals,” said Dr. Barbara Saperstone, provost of the Annandale Campus. “We are excited to be offering this new program, which is designed for students who have work or family obligations and need flexibility when pursuing their degree.”
Beginning in August 2013, the program includes a combination of in-person, hybrid and online courses through NOVA’s Extended Learning Institute (ELI). All in-person classes are held on Fridays and cover the same course material as regular semester classes.
Tuition and fees for the program are the same as NOVA’s regular tuition, which is significantly less than the cost at most public colleges and universities in the region. NOVA students looking to continue their education by obtaining a bachelor’s degree are guaranteed admission to more than 40 area colleges and universities when they meet the agreement requirements.
Registration for the fall semester is currently underway. Individuals interested in registering for the Fridays-only Degree Program should contact Marc Robinson at 703-425-5260 or email@example.com.
