Northern Virginia Community College will be closed for winter break from Dec. 20 through Jan. 1. The College will reopen on Jan. 2, 2013.
Registration for the spring semester will continue online while NOVA is closed. Students can go to www.nvcc.edu to register for spring classes during the break.
In January, NOVA will be open extra hours to give students additional time to complete registration transactions in person. Offices will stay open until 7:30 p.m. Jan. 7 through 10 and Jan. 14 through 17. In addition, offices will be open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12. On Jan. 11 and 18, NOVA’s offices will close at 5 p.m.
NOVA offers thousands of classes that start on Jan. 14. Additional classes begin on March 18.
Day, evening and weekend classes are available at NOVA’s six campuses in Alexandria, Annandale, Loudoun, Manassas, Springfield and Woodbridge, and three centers in Arlington, Innovation Park and Reston.
Hundreds of online courses are offered by NOVA’s Extended Learning Institute for students who want additional flexibility.
