Former child actress Mary Badham, who played Jean Louise “Scout” Finch in the 1962 movie “To Kill a Mockingbird,” will discuss the film at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26 at the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College.
Badham was nominated for an Academy Award for her portrayal of Scout, her first acting role. At the time she was the youngest person to be nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category.
Badham was invited to the campus as part of the “Reading Across the Curriculum” program which is featuring Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning book, “To Kill a Mockingbird”.
