Registration begins March 30 for the summer session at Northern Virginia Community College. Students may register 24 hours a day online at www.nvcc.edu or by telephone at 703-323-3770. For personal help, visit a NOVA campus in Alexandria, Annandale, Loudoun, Manassas, Springfield or Woodbridge.
Students who register early can lock in their classes without paying tuition until April 30. Starting April 30, tuition is due by 5 p.m. on the next business day after enrolling.
Classes in the 12-week session begin May 17 and end Aug. 9. NOVA also offers two six-week sessions during the summer, starting May 17 and June 29.
College students home for the summer can earn NOVA credits that transfer to their four-year residential colleges. Most colleges and universities accept NOVA credits, but students should check with their home college before registering.
Students who prefer independent study or a more flexible schedule can choose distance learning courses, most of which can be completed online. Distance learning sessions start at frequent intervals throughout the year. To learn about distance learning courses, go to http://eli.nvcc.edu.
