On Friday, March 26 at 7 p.m., nine of the top singing sensations will battle for the title of this year’s NOVA Idol. In addition, three students from area high schools will compete in a separate competition that evening to win the high school division.
In its seventh year, NOVA Idol continues to be a popular college-wide event with more than 250 students from NOVA’s six campuses making up the competition pool. Every year, the votes of both audience members and judges determine who the first, second and third place winners are. The grand prize winner will receive $4,000, second place $2,500 and third place $1,000.
Tony Perkins, the morning weather personality for WTTG FOX 5 in Washington, D.C., will serve as a judge.
