Start your teaching career at NOVA
December 11, 2013
Northern Virginia Community College provides an affordable pathway to becoming a licensed teacher, a career that is in demand throughout the country.
Students can save thousands of dollars in tuition by starting at NOVA and then transferring to an approved teacher education program at a four-year college or university.
NOVA has transfer agreements with several four-year institutions that offer Virginia Department of Education approved teacher education programs, and NOVA helps students prepare for seamless transfer with a clear list of acceptable courses.
NOVA’s Teacher Education Specialization Program is specifically designed for students who plan to seek endorsement and licensure as teachers in preschool, elementary, middle school or special education.
The program is available at NOVA campuses in Alexandria, Annandale, Loudoun, Manassas and Woodbridge, as well as online through the Extended Learning Institute.
New students can start with the spring semester that begins in January. To learn more, go to http://blogs.nvcc.edu/Teachered/ or contact Program Head Karen Sheble at firstname.lastname@example.org.
