Richard Siegman’s ‘New and Recent Paintings’ on display at NOVA-Loudoun
April 24, 2012
“New and Recent Paintings” by Richard Siegman will be on exhibition in Waddell Gallery at the Loudoun Campus of Northern Virginia Community College from May 14 to June 15.
“The ongoing challenge all artists face is to rigorously examine oneself, one’s materials and the pictorial elements that they employ in order to solve the mysteries that each work offers,” Siegman said. “By utilizing such a methodology the artist keeps his work fresh and relevant.”
Through employing this process Siegman has created his most realized and freshest work to date. His signature expressionist gestures are balanced by the contra-indication of a slick, hard-edged ground that results in a dynamic tension of infinite proportion.
Waddell Gallery is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday on NOVA’s Loudoun Campus, 1000 Harry Flood Byrd Highway in Sterling. To learn more, contact Donald Depuydt at 703-450-2627 or email@example.com or go to http://www.nvcc.edu/Loudoun/ArtGallery/.
