Ninth Annual NOVA Idol Finale Set for March 23
March 5, 2012
It’s that time of year again when ten of NOVA’s top singing sensations will battle for the title of this year’s NOVA Idol. In addition, three students from area high schools will compete in a separate competition that evening to win the high school division.
In its ninth year, NOVA Idol continues to be a popular college-wide event with more than 250 students from NOVA’s six campuses making up the competition pool. Every year, the votes of both audiences and judges determine the first, second and third place winners. The grand prize winner will receive $4,000. Second and third places will receive awards of $2,500 and $1,000, respectively.
Tony Perkins will make his sixth guest appearance as a celebrity judge. Perkins is the Fox 5 Morning News weather personality for WTTG in Washington, D.C.
