Voce Chamber Singers will present ‘I’ll Follow the Sun’ Aug. 13 at NOVA-Manassas

Voce Chamber Singers will present a free concert at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13 at the Mary Louise Jackson Amphitheater at Northern Virginia Community College, 6901 Sudley Road, Manassas. The venue will open at 7 p.m. Free parking is available next to the amphitheater. In case of inclement weather, the show will be rescheduled for Aug. 14.
Called “I’ll Follow the Sun,” the concert will feature a cappella interpretations of Beatles favorites, as well as music from the 1700s through today with a theme of love in the summertime.
Founded in 1989, Voce Chamber Singers is recognized as one of the Washington area’s premier chamber choral groups. Under the direction of Dr. Kenneth Nafziger, Voce has performed at the Kennedy Center, Smithsonian Castle, The National Theatre, U.S. Botanic Gardens and Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. Voce has been featured as a “best bet” on WETA-TV’s Around Town and was the subject of a half-hour worldwide radio broadcast on Voice of America’s Kaleidoscope program.
The performance is part of the Summer Evenings Under the Stars series, made possible with funding from the NVCC Educational Foundation.
