Seniors invited to annual holiday luncheon at Northern Virginia Community College in Manassas

October 21, 2011

Registration will begin Nov. 9 for the annual Senior Citizens Holiday Celebration at the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College. This year’s party will take place on Dec. 1 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the campus cafeteria.

The event is free but reservations are required because space is limited. Seniors may call 703-257-6543 starting on Nov. 9 to make reservations. To keep the process fair, early reservations will not be accepted and each person will be limited to two tickets, which will be mailed out prior to the event.

Guests will be treated to a delicious lunch, musical entertainment and a special visit from Santa Claus.

Faculty, staff and students at the Manassas Campus look forward to the luncheon each year with great anticipation and joy, according to planning committee chair Patricia Gary.

“We enjoy the celebration that signals the start of the holidays for many of us on campus and for our senior friends in the community,” Gary said.
