Members from the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) toured the Alexandria Campus on February 10 in celebration of Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month. The association is the largest national association dedicated to the advancement of CTE that prepares youth and adults for successful careers. They are committed to increasing public awareness and appreciation for CTE programs and to assuring growth in funding and support for these programs by communicating and working with legislators and government leaders at all levels.

After an overview of the career and technical programs offered at the Alexandria Campus, the group toured the automotive bays, the soils lab, the CAD lab and the IT labs on the Campus. They were very impressed with the facilities and programs that the Campus offers. By learning about the quality of NOVA’s numerous CTE programs, the association can now use the Alexandria Campus as a concrete example of success when lobbying on behalf of CTE legislation.
