Woodbridge Campus Spring Convocation Focuses on Emergency Preparedness

January 26, 2010

NOVA Police Officer Anthony Mellis was recognized by Provost Sam Hill for his quick reaction and efforts as the first emergency responder on site during the December shooting incident.

Faculty and staff of the Woodbridge Campus began their spring semester with their annual Spring Convocation. In addition to the Provost’s annual welcome and division meetings, the main focus of this year’s session focused on emergency preparedness and working with the student body.

Faculty members Denny Bausch, Karen DiNuzzo and Associate Vice President for Student Services and Enrollment Management Beth Harper and Director for Emergency Planning Will Flagler all gave special presentations related to this year’s topic.
