NOVA announces winter break and extended hours

December 17, 2010

Online and telephone registration for Northern Virginia Community College’s spring semester will continue during NOVA’s winter break, Dec. 23 to Jan. 2. Students can log on at www.nvcc.edu or call 703-323-3770 to register for spring classes while the College is closed.

NOVA will be open extra hours in January to give students additional time to complete registration transactions in person. Offices will stay open until 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 3 to 6 and Jan. 10 to 13. In addition, offices will be open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8. On  Jan. 7 and 14, the College will observe normal business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

NOVA offers thousands of classes in more than 100 programs during the spring semester that begins Jan. 10. Additional classes start March 14.

Day, evening and weekend classes are available at NOVA’s six campuses in Alexandria, Annandale, Loudoun, Manassas, Springfield and Woodbridge, and two centers in Arlington and Reston. Online courses are available for students who want additional flexibility.
