Free outdoor film series at NOVA-Manassas to benefit Kits for Kidz

July 21, 2010

The community is invited to a free film series under the stars at the Mary Louise Jackson Amphitheater. Instead of an admission fee, donations of money and school supplies will be accepted for the Kits for Kidz drive sponsored by the Prince William Chamber of Commerce.

“National Treasure” starring Nicolas Cage will be shown on Aug. 7, followed by “National Treasure: Book of Secrets” on Aug. 14 and “Journey to the Center of the Earth” starring Brendan Fraser on Aug. 21. In case of rain, the movie will be shown on the following evening.

The venue will open at 7:30 p.m. with the movie scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Attendees may bring a blanket and picnic to enjoy on the lawn, or purchase refreshments from on-site vendors.

Free parking will be available next to the amphitheater which is located on the grounds of the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College at 6901 Sudley Road.
