NOVA announces winter break and extended hours

NOVA’s winter break and extended hours

Dec. 24 to Jan. 3:  College closed
Jan. 4 to 7:  8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Jan. 8:  8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (normal hours)
Jan. 9:  10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Jan. 11 to 14:  8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Jan. 15:  8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (normal hours)

Northern Virginia Community College will be closed Dec. 24 to Jan. 3, but online and telephone registration will be available during the break. Students can log on to www.nvcc.edu or call 703-323-3770 to register for the spring semester while the College is closed.

NOVA will be open extra hours in January to give students additional time to complete registration transactions in person. Offices will stay open until 7:30 p.m. from Jan. 4 to 7 and Jan. 11 to 14. In addition, offices will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 9. The College will observe normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Jan. 8 and 15.

NOVA offers thousands of classes in more than 100 programs during the spring semester that begins Jan. 11. Additional classes start March 15.

Day, evening and weekend classes are available at NOVA’s six campuses in Alexandria, Annandale, Loudoun, Manassas, Springfield and Woodbridge, and two centers in Arlington and Reston. Distance learning courses are available for students who need additional flexibility.
