Progress of Student Learning Outcomes

December 15, 2009

In the past year, NOVA has made student learning outcomes (SLOs) a higher priority than ever. SLO assessment involves programs collecting and using evidence of student achievement to improve student learning. Each degree-awarding program and select certificates chose a faculty member to oversee their assessment activities.

The SLO lead faculty for these programs/certificates worked very hard to write SLOs for their programs, which they submitted this semester. Furthermore, they are currently in the process of doing assessments of several SLOs.

You can review your program’s SLOs at the Office of Institutional Research, Planning and Assessment’s assessment Web site.
