Students in the “Executive Protection” class at the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College recently participated in an exercise to learn how to escort dignitaries. Jessica Burke, in hat posing as a celebrity, was guarded by agents in a diamond formation created by John Williams (left), Lani Tela (front), Keara Johnson and Sam Vafael while Associate Professor Russ Carter maintained a watchful perspective from behind the door. A motorcade around the campus added to the exercise’s authenticity. The class is part of NOVA’s administration of justice program.
