February 27, 2009
Save money while discovering something new at Northern Virginia Community College. To introduce more people to distance learning, NOVA is reducing tuition for all non-credit online courses that begin in March.
Two types of online courses are available at the special March discount. ed2go courses have been reduced by 20 percent and Gatlin Education courses are $300 off the regular tuition.
ed2go courses consist of 12 lessons over six weeks. The lessons are supplemented by interactive quizzes, assignments, tutorials and online discussions. ed2go courses cover a wide variety of topics such as accounting, computer applications, business administration, digital photography, health care and fitness, languages, personal finance, starting a business, and Web programming.
Gatlin courses are more intensive and designed to provide workforce skills for in-demand occupations. Students enrolled in Gatlin courses have six months to complete the lessons at their own pace. Subjects include bookkeeping, records management, project management, travel agent training, administrative medical specialist and more.
The courses are offered through NOVA’s Prince William Regional Workforce Development and Continuing Education office. Learn more at http://www.nvcc.edu/wdce/pwregional/OLCourses.asp or by calling Cindy Langguth at 703-257-6590.
