Voter information website presents presidential candidate views
October 27, 2008
Students in an American National Politics class at the Loudoun Campus of Northern Virginia Community College have created a Web site that presents the views of the major presidential candidates and their running mates.
The Web site welcome says, “As a group of young voters, we have been tasked with providing unbiased information on various policy areas and the major candidates.”
Under a link called “Presidential Race,” the students have posted a matrix that describes the candidates’ views on such subjects as immigration, defense, economy, women’s issues, education, healthcare, taxes, Supreme Court nominees, same sex marriage, energy and foreign policy.
“We think this is a good voter information guide,” said instructor Rosemary Pelletier, who asked her students to gather the information and create the site as part of the political science course.
The site is at http://www.18-25voters.com. To learn more, contact Pelletier at email@example.com.
