Priority registration helps NOVA students plan ahead

April 29, 2008

Registration for Northern Virginia Community College’s summer semester begins April 1 for all students.

In addition, continuing students are encouraged to plan ahead by enrolling in the fall semester starting April 15. This priority registration period allows continuing students to coordinate their summer and fall schedules to make sure they are on track to achieve their goals. Students who have taken classes at any time during the last three years are considered continuing students.

Students who have not taken classes during the past three years may enroll in the fall semester starting June 3.

During the summer semester, NOVA offers one 12-week session starting May 19, and two six-week sessions that begin May 19 and July 1.

For fall, one 16-week session and two eight-week sessions are available. The 16-week session begins Aug. 25, and the eight-week sessions start Aug. 25 and Oct. 22.

Students may register 24 hours a day, seven days a week at nvcc.edu or by telephone at 703-330-3770 or 703-323-3770. Questions about registration may be directed to the College’s Call Center at 703-323-3000.
