Biotechnology Open House at NOVA-Manassas

What
On April 2, local high school students will learn about the biotechnology industry at the Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College. The students will participate in hands-on activities involving DNA and forensic investigations, and hear from a guest speaker in the industry. About 25 students are expected from the following high schools: Centreville, Chantilly, Gar-Field, Osbourn Park, Stonewall Jackson and JEB Stuart.
Guest Speaker
Manny Rivera, CEO of Rividium Inc., will talk to the students at approximately 9:15 a.m. in Room 335. Rividium sponsors a scholarship that will cover full tuition and books for one student in the Biotechnology Program beginning fall 2010. The company is located in Manassas.

Morning session: 9 a.m. to noon
Afternoon session: 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
