NOVA-AN, ELI Student Life to host community volunteer fair, Oct. 5

“Fall into Service” offers opportunities for students, local residents to serve community

What:Fall Into Service” Community Volunteer Fair at Northern Virginia Community College

Where: Annandale Campus, 8333 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, Va., Quad

When:  Monday, Oct. 5, 2015, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Who:   Regional non-profit organizations that rely on volunteers to help provide services to our community and beyond.

The “Fall into Service” Community Volunteer Fair, a coordinated effort between the student life teams at NOVA-Annandale and the Extended Learning Institute, will help regional non-profits raise awareness of the services they offer and to recruit volunteers looking to support the community. In addition, it will encourage NOVA students to get involved and reinforce the importance of community service. The fair is open not only to NOVA students, faculty and staff, but to the public as well. The Annandale Campus “Quad” is located outside CF and CG buildings

There will even be opportunities for NOVA’s online students to participate virtually and connect with participating organizations via the Extended Learning Institute (ELI) and the Elife student services portal.
