Local healthcare employers will recruit graduates of Northern Virginia Community College’s Medical Education Campus at the 2017 MEC Career Fair. Students studying in any of ten Allied Health and Nursing fields offered at the MEC will market their skills in hopes of landing their dream job in various high-demand healthcare fields.

NOVA’s Medical Education Campus was established in 2003 as the only specialized community college campus in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The MEC is a state-of-the-art campus located in Springfield, Virginia, and it houses all of NOVA’s healthcare A.A.S. degree programs as well as many health-related certificate programs. Among the programs available are: Nursing and ten Allied Health programs (Dental Hygiene, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, EMS, Health Information Management, Medical Laboratory Technology, Occupational Therapy, Phlebotomy, Physical Therapist Assistant, Radiography and Respiratory Therapy Assistant.) The campus also has a state-of-the-art patient simulators lab as well as an anatomy lab, giving NOVA’s Medical Education students the rare opportunity to study, while at the community college level, on human cadavers.
