The Northern Virginia Community College Board will meet on Monday, Nov. 9 from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. in the President’s Dining Room of the Ernst Community Cultural Center at NOVA’s Annandale Campus, 8333 Little River Turnpike, Annandale. This will be an opportunity for NOVA’s new president, Dr. Scott Ralls, to share his perspectives following his first eight weeks at the college.
Ralls began his tenure as NOVA’s fifth president on Sept. 8, 2015, following the retirement of Dr. Robert G. Templin, Jr. He has visited each of NOVA’s six campuses, meeting faculty, staff and students at each one, and he has developed a sense for the college and thoughts about how to move forward in the coming 50 years to make a substantial impact on the region as it has in the first 50 years.
The College Board will also hold its regular meeting on Nov. 16 in the new Higher Education Center at NOVA’s Loudoun Campus. The details and agenda for that meeting will be published next week. All NOVA College Board meetings are open to the public.
