The Biology and Natural Sciences Division and the Alexandria Honors Program at Northern Virginia Community College Alexandria Campus will host “The Dance of the Fertile Universe: Chance and Destiny Embrace” with Dr. George Coyne. Coyne is a Jesuit priest, astronomer, and former director of the Vatican Observatory and head of the observatory’s research group which is based at the University of Arizona, Tucson. The discussion will address the current scientific understanding of the universe and the evolution of life within it.
