What is podcasting?

Podcasting a way of publishing sound files to the internet. A podcast is a type of RSS feed that allows the transfer of multimedia files. NOVA's podcast offers a weekly mp3 of the most current news and press releases. A podcast is similar to subscribing to a newsfeed. Instead of articles being pushed, it is in the form of audio.

What do I need?

You need software that acts as a podcatcher. When people think of podcasting, they immediately think of iPods. However an iPod is not required. iTunes is one of the most popular podcatchers.
