Professional counselors are available to assist you in the educational career and life planning processes. They can help you to make effective decisions.  Counselors are also available to help students overcome problems that they may confront during their attendance at the College. Interviews with counselors are confidential. Referral information is available for persons requiring professional assistance beyond the scope and training of the campus counselors.

Counseling services are available both to students and members of the community.  You are encouraged  to visit  counselors throughout you collegiate experience at NVCC.  Curricular changes must be made through Counseling and Specialized Services.

Counselors are also available to  assist you with financial aid information,  interpret career interest inventories, provide career information, provide volunteer service placement information, job search counseling, and job listings. Special group programs are also available such as career planning seminars, personal exploration groups, and other skill-building workshops.
