The Manassas Campus Tutoring Center provides students with additional assistance with class work and assigned papers.  Peer, staff and volunteer tutors work one-on-one and in small groups to assist students with written assignments, class concepts, and exam preparation. Students meet with tutors by scheduled 30 minute to 1 hour appointments. Students should come prepared with textbook, notes, and any other materials needed for a successful tutoring appointment; for writing appointments this includes a printed copy of the paper; for math tutoring appointments, tutors can only assist with math problems printed in a textbook. 

The Tutoring Center presents periodic workshops throughout the semester on topics relating to academic, professional, and personal success. Students should check their NOVA email for information on upcoming workshops.

Missed Appointment Policy
  • If you cannot be here for your scheduled appointment, please call 703.257.6699 or stop by to cancel.
  • Please arrive promptly for your appointment.
  • If you do not cancel your appointment or if you arrive later than 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment time, this will count as a No-Show.
  • We will keep a list of all No-Shows for the semester
  • If you have more than two No-Shows in one semester, you will not be allowed to make any more appointments in that semester.
