The Manassas Campus Tutoring Center provides students with additional assistance with class work and assigned papers. Peer, staff, and volunteer tutors work one-on-one and in small groups to assist students with written assignments, class concepts, and exam preparation. Appointments last between 30 minutes and one hour. Students should come prepared with textbook, notes, and any other materials needed for a successful tutoring appointment; for writing appointments this includes a printed copy of the paper; for math tutoring appointments, tutors can only assist with math problems printed in a textbook.
Students may meet with tutors by scheduled appointment or on a walk-in basis.
The Tutoring Center presents periodic workshops throughout the semester on topics relating to academic, professional, and personal success. Students should check their NOVA email for information on upcoming workshops.
