The best way to search for articles is to use a database. Databases will help you find articles that were originally published in magazines, journals, and newspapers. Although the databases are used via the Internet, the articles you will find are not considered "Internet sources".

Library of Congress Subject Headings:

Most college libraries use the Library of Congress subject headings to organize their books.
The letters represent different subject areas. Check these sections for science books:

	QC:  Physics		QH:  Biology
	QD:  Chemistry		QK:  Botony
	QE:  Geology		QL:  Zoology

Encyclopedias:
These encyclopedias are reference books. Reference books cannot be checked out, but many students find it helpful to photocopy the pages they need. Please consult a librarian if you need help finding any of the titles below:
